Doesn't it feel sometimes like life is up to all of us?

Getting things done, being on a track to success, all under our own steam.

But is that really what's going on? I've learned something pretty amazing from my study of Christian science. No matter how much it may feel like things are up to us,

they're not. That's because of our spiritual oneness with God.

This oneness is an established fact.

Jesus told us about it when he said,

I and my father are one.

And Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer of Christian science,

explained that we're one with God too.

When she wrote in Science and health with key to the scriptures, Jesus of Nazareth taught and demonstrated man's oneness with the

father. Man is a term that includes all of us. As I was praying about oneness recently, I got this thought about how when I was

pregnant with my daughter, I ate and we were both fed. I walked into the next room and she was

right there with me the entire trip. There was no separation of activity. This isn't a perfect analogy about our

relation to God, because God is spirit, and in reality, we are God's spiritual creation. But it did

help me understand more about what it really means that God is the source or cause,

and we are the effect.

God, spirit, moves, and we move with Him.

God is, so we have, always, because we are one with God.

God's not doling out something we need when we need it.
