Okay, so the concept of giving ourselves permission is interesting.

Now as little kids, we seek permission externally, permission from our parents, our caregivers,

our teachers, people nearby, people in authority.

And we don't really yet have a strong sense of our own agency.

So we rely on the external world to either open or close certain doors for us.

And that can still be true into adulthood.

There are certain things that we need permission from others externally.

But we can take this approach to life with us and feel like we need external permission

when really what we need is internal permission.

Permission from ourselves to be a certain way, to say something, to try something, to do

something completely new, permission to even align with our own truth.

And that is a process of moving from a child like mentality to being an adult, someone

who can parents ourselves.

And sometimes it's not as simple as just saying, Cory, it's okay to do this.
