I'm your host Corey Muscarra and in today's session we're going to talk about how to ask different questions to get different answers in times of difficulty.

Okay, so in this episode will continue with the theme of working with COVID-19. Again, if you, if this is not a reality for you right now at the time of listening,

you can just insert any potential difficulty you might be going through or you could imagine yourself going through.

And in the last couple days we spoke specifically about working with the fear and anxiety as it's coming up. Just some baseline ways to

to reground to settle to not get completely swept away and to learn to reframe the fear and the anxiety to use it in a way that

could actually stretch you and allow you to expand and grow and soften rather than something

that immediately needs to be suppressed.

And so now I want to transition a bit and then instead of talking about some of the fear, the anxiety, the negatives that can come up around this,

which are still there and still meaningful.

Let's also look at what could be good, what could be positive.

So the questions you ask yourself in your mind are going to give you a particular set of answers.

So what does that look like if you start running the question in your head of how am I going to get through this or how long is this going to

last or even why is this happening to me or why is this happening to us as a collective?

You know, those questions are going to give a certain set of answers.

You ask those questions and now your brain is going to its job is to search for responses to those

questions. So if the question is why is this happening to me? Well you're

going to marshal all sorts of evidence to support that.

Or if you're just asking how long is this going to last,

is how long it could potentially last.
