1982, a couple acted on their violent fantasies and took the life of one boy and the future

Nicole Louise Pierce, born Paul Wayne Luckman on November 1st, 1964 in Melbourne, Australia, had a rough life growing up.

After dropping out of school at the age of 16, Nicole went into sex work to try and make a living,

and during this time, was actually held in her home for a five-day period and sexually assaulted.

According to criminologist Paul Wilson, Nicole reportedly enjoyed the experience. At the age of 17, she joined

the army and there met and began a sadomasochistic relationship with 33-year-old soldier,

Robin Reed. A relationship marked with violence, the pair shared an interest in Satanism, were obsessed

with weaponry, and began collecting and cataloging pubic hair as trophies.

The more dangerous things were between the pair, the more aroused they both became.

But on May 4, 1982, the pair, 34 and just 17 years old, took their sexual interest

and forced it upon two boys in an event that would shock the nation and cost one child his life.

That's the day that Nicole Pierce and Robin Reed happened upon 13-year-old Peter Aston and his best friend,

Terry Ryan, also 13, as they were hitchhiking alongside the road. The pair had decided to skip

school and steal some cigarettes with Terry trying to make his way to the Gold Coast and Peter

to Melbourne to see his brother.
