Y'all, it's been a hard week and there's part of me that doesn't want to discuss the

obvious what everyone has been talking about.

Pretty non-stop since Sunday, the death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi, 13 years

old, and seven other souls in a helicopter crash, just north of LA, Calabases.

I'm not hesitant to speak of it because of a lack of feeling or a lack of care or concern.

Sometimes there's just really nothing to say but damn.

But then also, I kind of just really want to talk about it.

I really need this funeral to happen sooner than later.

It helps the living deal with the passing, the loved ones, people they cared for.

And it feels so strange to speak of Kobe Bryant who I've never met.

I still feel like I knew him.

His death hit me a lot harder than I expected.

I woke up Sunday morning and you're a regular listener.

You've heard me talk about my mountains.

I live in a loft and one wall has six windows.

They're ceiling to mid wall.

And I have a panoramic view of the mountains in Burbank.

See the sunrise every morning.

I watch it set over the mountains.

On good days.
