Summary

We've got another light, flirty Christie adventure on our hands here, and while normally we'd say that hijinks ensue, there is so little going on in this short story that perhaps we have only a single hijink? Maybe two? In any case, this is a pleasant enough tale of automotive and fructiferous tomfoolery. Please enjoy, as the year winds down in these final few days of 2018!

until much later in the US all the way in 1971 in the Golden Ball and other stories

0:51.3

and I do feel like I'm sure there are exceptions to this rule but often when we find

0:56.8

a story in the Listerdale Mystery Collection not being published in the US until almost four decades later.

It feels like there's a reason for it.

1:07.0

Uh-oh, are you giving a spoiler about your feelings of this story?

1:10.0

Let's just say this isn't the most robust story.

1:16.0

Are you saying this was not a fruitful read?

1:19.0

Yes, a fruitful Sunday, but perhaps a fruitless read.

1:22.0

Oh dear.

1:24.0

All right, I'm going to talk about our victim because there isn't one.

1:28.0

Because...

1:29.0

Easy for you then to talk about it.

1:30.0

Yes, that's why I've chosen to take on this task. We are not in a
