Welcome to Enjoying the Journey with Evangelist Scott Paul.

For some, the Christian life has been reduced to a one day a week church service experience,

0:22.6

and yet God, in His Word, teaches us that we are to walk with Him daily.

0:26.6

Today we look to God's Word to discover simple Bible principles that will help us as we live the daily Christian life. A.W. Tozer once said that whatever keeps me from my Bible is my enemy,

0:52.0

however harmless it may appear to me. I've discovered that his statement is

0:57.2

exactly true. As a matter of fact, many times it's not bad things that keeps us from the

1:02.5

Word of God. It's very good things. It's people, it's schedules, it's work, it's our agenda.

1:09.2

1:14.2

1:20.0

revival of Bible reading. And on this last study that we have together, I want to bring you to the

1:25.2

last book of the Bible. To the end of it all, to the revelation of Jesus Christ, to Revelation chapter 1. Verse number 1 says,

1:32.9

the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show into his servants things which

1:37.9

must shortly come to pass, and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John,

1:43.3

who bear record of the word of God and of the testimony of Jesus Christ

1:48.8

and of all things that he saw.

1:51.2

Aren't you glad that what he saw we get to read?

1:54.7

Aren't you glad that God wrote his revelation in a book?

1:59.3

Then you come to verse number three of Revelation 1, where God says,

2:03.2

Blessed is he that readeth. And they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those

2:09.5

things which are written therein, for the time is at hand. There's a beautiful progression

2:15.5

in this verse. It begins with reading the Word of God.

2:19.0

Then it moves to hearing it. That's more than simply a physical hearing. That's spiritual hearing.
