We've had our little siesta, a couple weeks off, kicking back in the sun.

But racing's just around the corner, so life in the peloton is back.

And I've got Lionel back on board richard's out kicked him out after one week welcome back linal great to have you on board thanks very

much yeah i took my birthday week off much appreciated having a week off to celebrate my birthday

and fine style Mitch and uh well I feel like we've been here before

we're we're on the eve just about of strada bianca and of course we were here in the spring

weren't we and well we're going to hear a bit about strada bianca in this episode but it's originally

the autumn race that's now a spring classic being held in the middle of the Italian summer. They've found a new slot for it, you know, because I was quite excited to find out that it was actually on the eve of Arroyka, which is a great ride that I still haven't done. I don't know how I haven't done that ride, but it was created from that ride, which we get into in the podcast. But before we get into

that, it's something I wanted to ask you. What happened on the week of Lionel? What was the week

of birthday celebrations? I just just had a very chilled week, Mitch. I like to take, yeah,

my birthday falls at the very start of July, and nine years out of 10, I'm at the Tour de France. I'm

kind of working, or perhaps traveling to the Tour de France. I'm kind of working or perhaps traveling to

the Tour de France. So I just took the opportunity to spend the day with the family and, you know,

have some nice food and some nice wine and just didn't think about cycling all day. It was,

it was lovely. Yeah, it's nice. I like that. I like the week birthday celebrations.

I try and definitely pad it out before and pat it out after.

I like your idea.

But this episode, like you said, is all about Strata Bianchi and also a bit of fun moments

with Durbo and I, Luke Derbidge, that is.

He's my favorite guest to have on the podcast just because we talk every day out riding and it's funny once we put a microphone in front of us. That's what I think anyway.
