Hey y'all, it's Jason here. Just wanted to give you a quick warning that today's bonus episode

0:04.5

does contain references to PTSD symptoms and substance abuse, and it may not be suitable for all

0:10.2

listeners, and I just thought it was fair to give everybody a warning. Alright, let's get into the

0:14.3

episode.

I'm Jason Kander, and this is Majority 54. The podcast that helps the 54% of us who did not vote for

0:25.8

Donald Trump talk to those of us who did about the most divisive issues in our country. Today's

0:31.0

episode is a little bit different, and we're excited about it. So for a little while,

1:19.6

I could see that his point of view was coming from, you know, kind of the right side of the Republican

1:23.4

party that he was in a primary. And I remember it standing out to me because his personal story

1:28.3

in mine had something in common, which is he had recovered from post-traumatic stress. And in his

1:33.7

case, he also had recovered from substance abuse. And he was, I think, six years sober. And I remember

1:38.9

being intrigued by that, but not really digging much deeper. And then a few months later,

1:42.8

I remember seeing the news that he had relapsed, that he had overdosed, that he was getting out of the
