Summary

Should parents be given one night a week to completely "take off" from parenting? Not for a date night or a planned night out with friends, but to have free reign to do whatever they want without the fast pace, stress, or pressure they experience on the daily. So far, the parents who have experimented with this new-age idea all say yes, in fact, many of them credit the routine with saving their sanity. Today Sean and Rachel sit down to dissect the TODAY article by Gesche Haas that started this conversation, and their thoughts on it as employed parents of nine. They also discuss other ways parents can help each other (and themselves) when they feel that wave of burnout starts to consume them.
