Today's 10-minute walk is helping you keep the fitness promise you made to yourself, and we'll add another link to your growing fitness chain.

It is early in the morning, pre-sunrise, nothing unusual about that. I'm walking on a sidewalk next to what is typically a fairly busy road.

We'll probably be busy in the next couple of hours, but right now things are quiet.

You're the only one who's up? That's kind of how it feels right now. Although I think the odds are

pretty good that something will drive by during this 10-minute walk, but as I'm looking around, I don't see any traffic at all.

I don't see any people, and I don't see any animals. Although I have walked along this sidewalk and seen a coyote, not today, and because this is near a lake,

oftentimes there are ducks and geese and swans.

And this is the lake with the alligator,

although the alligator hasn't been seen in probably over a year.

I got an email this week from Wynn that was delightful, and I asked Wynn's permission to share this email, and he said, absolutely.

I took them out for a walk every morning, and for each walk, we taped a shoe print, just like yours, in the hallway outside our classroom.

It made them very proud, helped them settle into learning each morning, and I used it as a tool for teaching about our province, Alberta, Wynn lives in Canada.
