Welcome to True Crime Brewery, Thai Grabbers. I'm Jill. And I'm Dick. So today we're talking about Colin Davis, and Davis was a man who believed that money

could buy him anything, and he very well may have been right. His life, his loves, and even his

crimes show this to be true. In the 1970s, Davis, a wealthy oil tycoon from Texas, was accused

of murder. The first incident occurred in August of

1976 when there was a deadly shooting inside his estranged wife's Fort Worth mansion. And then the

second incident, he was charged with hiring a hitman for conspiring to kill 15 people. Join us at the

quiet end for a perversion of justice.

Colin Davis would become known for getting away with the criminal charges against him,

and that's thanks to the best defense that his money could buy.

But to many, the evidence against him was really overwhelming.

So where and why did the justice system fail so miserably, in my opinion?

So the beer for today's episode is actually a local one from Fort Worth. It's Rar and Sons

Brewing Company, and I'm drinking an Octoberfest. You might ask why drink an October

fest in the middle of a hot summer. But if you look at your

local stores, it's already appearing on the shelves. Well, yeah, it seems to come out earlier

every year, just like Halloween candy and Christmas decorations. It's always earlier and earlier.

It's like they can't wait. Yeah. So this October Fest is a clear amber color.

It has about an inch of head that lingered pretty nicely.
