In John chapter 20, we get this really unique interaction between Thomas and Jesus.

Thomas is kind of affectionately known as doubting Thomas because he says,

if I don't see the risen Christ myself, if I don't see Jesus and put my fingers in the holes

in his hands and feet, I'm just not going to believe anything that you guys are saying. I don't

think this guy came back from the dad. He has a what we call an a priori understanding. He agreed.

He already postulated and thought ahead of time. This is not possible. So I'm going to need

evidence for it myself. And while we can sometimes kind of caricatureize Thomas as this doubter,
