There are more ways to showcase your life and get it out there than ever before.

I mean, back in the old days,

you showed off buying a fancy car or having the green salon in your neighborhood just by asking

your neighbors over. There was even a phrase for it, keeping up with Joneses. And we all want to fit in.

But here's the kicker. The feelings are still there. We still compare ourselves to others. We look

around to see how our friends and family and neighbors are doing.

And maybe if it's just in the back of our mind, we try to measure up. Well, in the old days, if you wanted to

shut down those feelings of jealousy, you could just close your curtain, right? You could block that fancy car out of your view.
