on the glorious occasion of Theresa May's last day

as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom,

just as the Tory Party has imploded up in Peterborough

and the Brexit Party has proved that a week is a long time in politics.

Last night, Labour Party actually won the

by-election, despite their candidates' lacklustre campaign, despite an anti-Semitism inquiry into

the organisation, and despite the rise of Nigel Farage and the confusion over Brexit and what on earth

their policy is. It might have been only 683 votes, but it has proved that the Brexit Party

is nowhere near where everyone thought they were,

including themselves, by the way, and if there was a general election tomorrow,

they would not get anywhere near enough MPs to come close to forming a government.

I know there will be people that will disagree with that, but I'm not one of them.

The truth of the matter is that the two parties first past the post system

mitigates against smaller parties from actually winning seats,

and until they change it,

that will be the status quo. Even the Lib Dems fail to capitalize on their recent waiver support,
