The longest Psalm in the Bible is Psalm 119.

It has been called the Psalm of the Scriptures because it concentrates on one thing,

the amazing sufficiency of God's word for our lives.

Open to Psalm 119 today and open your heart to the Lord as we

One more day, just one more day.

You know, the amazing thing about the scripture is you never exhaust it.

You can go back to the same verses, the same section over and over and over again.

If you come with fresh eyes, with a desire to go deeper and further with the Lord,

God always has much more to say to us. We've been studying the section of Psalm 119 that

begins with verse 97 and concludes with verse 104. And I want to return to it to zero in on one point

of application, if I may, and it is this idea of meditating in the Word of God.

It's how the section begins. Oh, how love I thy law. It is my meditation all the day.

And I want to talk to you today about a new dimension for your devotional life, a new dimension for

devotions. People talk about having their

devotions, and they typically mean by that they read a portion of scripture, have a time of prayer.

I hope you do have that holy habit. I hope you do build that routine into your life. But I have found

for me that very often I can go through the motions of my devotions and walk away with next to nothing.

I can read a passage.

This is a terrible thing to say, but I can read a passage and not remember a single

thing I read.
