| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome back to practicing human, the podcast where every day we're getting a little better at life. |
| 0:05.9 | I'm your host, Corey Miscara, and in today's episode, we're going to talk about a very simple definition of mindfulness that you can use when you're thinking about a moment of mindfulness. |
| 0:17.4 | More to come on that in a moment. |
| 0:18.8 | First, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells. |
| 0:21.6 | Okay. So I've talked a lot about different definitions of mindfulness on this podcast. |
| 0:46.6 | The definition I typically offer is the practice of being with versus in our experience in a way that is spacious, curious, and heartfelt. |

| 2:07.5 | The non-judgmental quality is the awareness in relationship to it. That's just going, oh, |
| 2:13.0 | this is what's here now. This is what's here now. This is what's here now. |
| 2:20.5 | And so I think non-judgment can just get confusing. And the great thing about curiosity is that it imbued in curiosity is non-judgment. |
| 2:29.1 | Curiosity is inherently non-judgmental. |
| 2:31.7 | It just seeks to understand what is here. |
