getting a little better at life. I'm your host, Cory Muscara, and in today's

episode we're going to talk about the difference between humility and not

taking up space. We'll order come on that in a moment. First let's settle in

together with the sound of the bells.

Okay, so one thing I see a lot of as a culture, or at least US culture, is that

there can be a praising of humility. I know that might seem like a strange

thing to say within US culture because it is also very individualistic and

probably the rest of the world is laughing at me saying that we might praise

humility. But I do still see it where in the online space and in person people

tend to hold up folks who are humble. And this is also true if not more true in

many other countries around the world. However, what I'm also seeing that

comes across to me as a concerning phenomenon when it comes to people

stepping into their full expression in the world is that we tend to

conflate humility and not taking up space. I'll say that again we tend to

conflate humility and not taking up space. So humility we could view as the

recognition that we are not better than another person on a deep let's say

spiritual level. We might be better talent wise at something or another. But in

terms of being worth more than another person, we recognize that we all come

into this world with the same worth we're all humans. And from that understanding

we take a certain relationship to other people the world around us how we relate

to one another. That however is different than fearing being seen, fearing
