This week, I'm going to tell you about a mysterious death.

This case started over 20 years ago in Monaco when a billionaire burned a death in his mansion

under extremely mysterious circumstances.

And it continued in San Antonio, Texas, just a few weeks ago with a dog napping.

At 4.49 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 1999,

67-year-old billionaire banker Edmund Safra and his wife, Lily, were at home in their penthouse called La Belle Poc.

Their home was a massive 17,000 square foot apartment. It was referred to as the

most beautiful residence in Monaco. Basically, they lived in the safest building in one of the

safest cities on the planet. And Edmund Safra had gone above and beyond to make sure that his

apartment was an indestructible

fortress. The Bell Apoc apartment was just the cherry on the cake of the global Safra real estate

holdings. The couple also had their villa nearby called Laliapolda. This had been made famous by

Grace Kelly and Carrie Grant when they shot to catch a thief there. In the past, Edmund and

Lily had done a lot of entertaining at their villa, but in recent years, Edmund had contracted

Parkinson's disease, and as his condition got worse, they tended to stay more and more at the

Bellapok apartment. They also had a huge apartment on Fifth Avenue, New York City,

and two townhouses on the Eaton Square in central London back to back. Eaton Square, of course, is the

neighborhood where Tony and Cherie Blair lived, and Madonna and Guy Ritchie had their apartment

back in the day. It was a quiet night in the penthouse. Normally, Edmund had a private army surrounding

him at all times. He was very paranoid about security, and as we'll discuss later, not without reason.

So he had former Mossad armed guards with him. He also had a team of nurses who provided

24-hour care for the conditions related to his Parkinson's disease.
