It was May 10th, 2020, Mother's Day. Most families would be celebrating with gifts, brunch, or flowers.

But for the Morphew family, the day was instead shrouded with tragedy.

Suzanne Morfew, a wife and mother of two teenage girls, was missing.

While on a supposed bike ride, Suzanne disappeared without a trace.

No warning, no goodbye text, and no body.

In a ravine near her Chafee Colorado home, only Suzanne's bike and helmet would be found

with no apparent signs of a crash.

From the mystery emerged a video of Barry Morphew pleading for information and the safe

return of his wife. Barry made himself more visible to the press offering money and theories

about what might have happened to Suzanne.

Though he first seemed a loving husband tortured by his wife's disappearance,

Barry Morphew would later become the figure suspected of her murder.

The cracks in Suzanne and Barry's seemingly loving marriage began to show.

Only four days before she vanished, Suzanne had messaged her husband stating she was done

Investigators also learned that Suzanne had an affair, one lasting two years, with an old classmate from high school.

On May 5, 2021, almost a year after Suzanne's initial disappearance, Barry Morphew was arrested and charged with her murder.

Barry pleaded not guilty having the backing and support of his two daughters.

But Suzanne's body was not found, and without crucial evidence, the case against Barry Morphew was

subsequently dropped. That is until September of the following year when remains
