Summary

It has been too long since we visited with Miss Marple in short story form, which Christie herself identified as our favorite spinster sleuth's natural milieu, after all.... And we get more of Miss Marple than we normally do in this outlier of a short story, written as a script to be read out by Christie herself (!!) on the radio.

What is our Miss Marple selection for this episode, Catherine?

1:20.0

1:37.0

Yes. Agatha herself to read on air.

1:41.0

Oh my god. I know and it was subsequently published in

1:44.8

1935 in Home Journal as quote-unquote behind closed doors and then in book form in the

1:51.6

US in 1939 and the Reg of mystery and other stories and in the

1:55.8

UK in 1979 so 40 years later in Miss Marple's final cases.

2:02.1

This is a bit of an outlier, and you can tell when you read it

2:05.4

that it's essentially a script, right?
