Summary

If you have single friends or family members you have probably been asked to introduce any single friends to them. As we know, this has the capacity to go wrong for numerous reasons.

But in the story today from London, John worked with and was good friends with Roger Frisbee who was a lovely, gentle and mild-mannered man so had no qualms introducing him to his sister June. At first things went very well and June and Roger married and had two children. But then the relationship began to deteriorate with terrible consequences.

I wonder if like me you have an interest in mountains, a real fascination with mountains.

0:14.6

And I reflect a lot on those who've lost their lives trying to climb them or descend having reached a summit.

Indeed, a more relevant quote for today's story is one that has always stuck with me since I

0:47.5

developed an interest in true crime, which is, you can bury a body, but you cannot bury the

truth.

0:55.2

And this is very true for today's story from London.

0:59.5

But first, let's set some context for our story with our guests a month and year game.

You ready?

If we look at the top spot in the UK, it was those kings of heavy rock, Westlife, with fool again.

1:14.0

In the US, saying my name from Destiny's Child was in the top spot, and in Australia, killing Heidi topped the album charts with Reflector.

1:23.9

In the news this month, South African cricket captain Hansi Cronia was charged by

deadly police with fixing one day international matches against India. He later died in,

some would say, a suspicious plane crash, check it out, at just 32. Back then, people used to

watch the news in the evening, to simply watch the 9 or 10 o'clock news

anymore, and also terrestrial TV, and the When Louis Met documentary by Louis Thoreau premiered on BBC 2,
