Summary

With this year’s Met Gala all over our social media feeds, I thought it might be a great opportunity to give you a recap of my favorite looks and to revisit my interview with celebrity “Hair MacGyver” Nikki Nelms. If you don’t know Nelms by now, you are in for a treat! Not only did she style the locks of Zoe Kravitz, Sha’Carri Richardson, and Venus Williams for this year’s iconic event, but she has established some of the most popular hair trends over the past decade. With clients like Solange and Janelle Monae and features in every publication from Allure to Vogue, she has left the world in complete awe of just how beautiful black hair can be. Tune in for an incredible discussion on the importance of embracing black beauty culture, working on Don’t Touch My Hair, and so much more
