Hello, hello, it's Berkivard and you're listening to the Naked Beauty Podcast.

So last Monday was Vogue's Met Gala, one of the biggest events of the year for fashion,

for Hollywood, really, for everyone.

I recapped everything on Naked Beauty Planet, my Instagram account, which was so fun watching

in real time with all of you.

You guys did not hold back on your opinions and I feel like my feed all week has been met

gala.

It's honestly a lot.

It may even be oversaturated, but I do want to talk about it a little bit with you guys

because this was just such a big event.

I actually drove by the Met Museum.

I was visiting my brother.

He just moved to a new place in Harlem and I was driving back downtown and I passed the

Met and it was just mayhem people.

There were police officers.

The street was sectioned off and there were people that were just like vying for a glimpse

of anyone entering, people literally standing on top of garbage cans and street lights,

total pandemonium.

And the reason why I think it's interesting is I think it speaks to this inherent need

that a lot of us have for glamour, for opulence, for things that are over the top.

Even if we are watching the Met Gala red carpet at home in sweatpants and a t-shirt, it's

really fun to see if you have the best of hair and best of makeup and best designers in
