What an interesting time to be alive. I'm Marshall Schott from the Brulosophy

Rather, I wanted to take a minute to talk about the impact COVID-19 is having and could potentially have not just on

Brulosophy, but this industry that we're sort of a part of.

As you're all very well aware, people everywhere are self isolating so as to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus, which is a good thing.

This is more than just a regular flu, and we all need to do our part to ensure people don't get sick.

Unfortunately, some of the businesses we care about the most,

breweries, have had to shut down. Now, how does this affect home brewers and podcasts like us?

Well, when breweries are selling less beer, they're brewing less beer. And when brewers are brewing less beer, they're brewing less beer.

And when brewers are brewing less beer,

they're ordering less ingredients.

All of those companies that provide ingredients for us home brewers

also provide ingredients for breweries.

In fact, that's typically their main source of revenue. I think you see where I'm going with this.

So what can we do to help? I don't want to sound like some

sanctimonious weirdo here, but the truth is if we don't do something we're going to lose

things that we really love which would suck obviously.

Now I get that this pandemic has led some people being forced unfortunately to take time off of work or even losing their jobs in, some of our contributors have been affected in this way,

which kills me to even have to say.
