Last week, a major announcement shook up the world of wrestling.

Are you ready?

The news? A merger between two major combat-focused media companies. World wrestling

entertainment, you may know it is WWE, will merge with Endeavor, the parent company of Ultimate Fighting Championship, or UFC.

Combined, the media giants will create a new company, which has yet to be named.

Endeavor shareholders will control 51% of the new partnership, and WWE shareholders will get the rest.

The deal values the new company at over $21 billion,

according to CNN. It's expected to close in the latter half of 2023. Vince McMahon, currently

the executive chairman of WWE, will retain that title at the new company per a request by endeavor,
