My desire is to be a saint, and my fear is not of being ready.

I have a very vivid memory of my desire not just to be a saint but to become a great saint. And two quotes resonated with me.

They moved in my heart and fueled my passion to the end. The first was by the French novelist Leonbloy, the only real sadness, the only real failure, the only great tragedy in life is not to become a saint.
