As America approaches the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding, we pause to remember the blessings of God's hand upon our country and the Christian principles that shaped its earliest foundations.

While we thank God for our heritage,

we are reminded that every generation must seek the Lord for itself. The greatest need in America

I believe that God deals with people in nations. If you study

scripture, you see the establishment of nations in the book of Genesis. When you come to the

end of your Bible, to the revelation of Jesus Christ, you see the nations coming before God. God

works in and through nations.

And there are many nations in the world, and for the record, God loves all the nations,

and the gospel is to be preached in every nation.

But I'm grateful that in the providence of God, God chose for me to be born in this particular nation. I'm saying that.

I love my country. I'm praying for a spiritual awakening in our land in these days. This is a

critical hour in the history of our nation. And we're celebrating the 250th birthday, the anniversary of the founding

of our country. We're relatively a young nation. And yet, I think there are so many

lessons that can be learned from where we've come from and learned that will help us

for where we need to go.

Over the next few days, we are going to concentrate all of our studies as a commemorative addition, memorializing God's grace and goodness to our country on this subject.
