I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard.

That's right.

We get college football to our kids.

Should be a great game.

We're going to play the University of Arizona in game two of a two-game set.

You know, we've had this Power 5 mandate now for several years. And maybe unbeknownst to you,

Mississippi State has never swept the home and home with a Power 5 team since that mandate came in.

Yeah, it's true. Think about it. Yeah, go back and think about it. We split with Kansas State. You went up there at the little apple in Manhattan and they came down here and beat us, I guess technically we beat ourselves, but you can run the numbers on it yourself. We haven't been able to sweep one. This could be the first one. I don't know if it happens next year.

You know, we're supposed to go to Arizona State.

It doesn't appear.

There's going to be a major change in the schedule next year.

However, there is the possibility because they tabled the issue, you know,

when they had the last SEC meetings about the schedule.

You remember so many

college football pundits said it was just basically inevitable that the SEC was going to go to a

non-game schedule. Well, they didn't have the votes to get it done. Matter of fact, it really

wasn't close. And so if they get support to go to a non-game SEC schedule next year,

I guess it won't be next year.

I guess it would tell me it would be 2024 or 2025, excuse me,

let me get it straight here.
