1:32.1	Dan is a psychoanalyst and author specializing and counseling former members of cultic groups and friends and family of members who are involved in cults. So Dan, we are having you here. First of all,
1:42.4	I have so many questions for you. We were introduced to you by last
1:47.8	week's guest, Sarah Edmondson, who was a survivor of nexium. And yeah, we're just excited to dive in
1:59.7	and learn more about your work and this fascinating topic in general.
2:06.3	I guess first, how did you come to specialize in working with cult survivors and focusing your therapy on this very specific need.
2:22.3	Right. Well, like about 99% of the people who are considered to be cult experts, I am a cult survivor.
2:32.8	So I spent 13 years, all of my 30s and a little more, in the city yoga meditation group.
2:41.9	That was started by Swami Mukdenanda, who was brought here by none other than Werner Erhardt,

2:55.7	Mukdenana came to the States in the 70s.
2:59.2	I met him in the mid-80s, and I got totally hooked.
