The second section of Psalms, known as the Exodus Psalms, remind us that the God who redeemed us is still with us.

Well, Psalm 71 is the Psalm of youth and old age.

Now, the psalmist is reflecting on the whole of his life.

He says in verse number five, for thou art my hope, O Lord God,

thou art my trust from my youth.

By thee, have I been holding up from the womb.

Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels. My praise shall be continually of thee.

In verse 17, he says, O God, thou hast taught me from my youth. And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now all the young people listen to me for just a
