Summary
Dr. Kirk Turner, a successful dentist, did not dispute that he killed his wife, Jennifer, in 2007. But he claimed he did it in self-defense, after Jennifer first attacked him with a seven-foot spear. At trial, prosecutors argued Turner staged the scene to cover up murder, but conflicting testimony complicated the case. “48 Hours" Correspondent Peter Van Sant reports.
