Anyone interested in the unexplained is no doubt familiar with the Dietlov Pass incident, which occurred in the Ural Mountains of Russia in 1959, when nine brave backpackers perished under extremely bizarre circumstances on the slopes of Colat-Saiakul, roughly translated to Dead Mountain.
