Summary
When June Matthews found a charming fixer-upper just north of Spokane in 2010, it felt like the dream starter home—until she stepped into the basement. A heavy silence, an icy draft, and an inexplicable sense of being watched were the only flaws she could find, and she brushed them off as an overactive imagination. But within weeks of moving in, lights began to flicker, footsteps echoed where no one walked, and the basement door refused to stay closed.
