Hi, moms. This is Heidi St. John. Do you beat yourself up over past mistakes? Do you replace scenes in your mind of things that you wish you could do over again? Well, you're not alone. In Romans 8, 1 through 12, we read, Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

because through Christ Jesus, the law of the spirit of life has set me free from the law of sin and death.

You know what? That's a promise.

And it's a promise for those of you who can relate to me when I say,

when I ask about whether or not you beat yourself up over past mistakes. There have been some things in my life that I have had to learn to let go of. Sometimes I disappoint people and I don't

know how to recover from it. And I've discovered I can be a people pleaser. But you know what? God wants me to

please him. And in pleasing him, I will not always please other people. There are stories in the

Bible from start to finish about men who chose to please God and he blessed them for it. But you know what?

We can get along with each other by having a gracious

heart. Sometimes that means that we need to lay down a grudge, and sometimes that means that we need to

lay down a grudge and forgive ourselves. If you're struggling to forgive yourself today,

remember how you are to God. See yourself the way God sees you. God says that you are loved,

busy mom. He loves you so much that he laid his life down for you. And you know what? It is not

worth carrying a grudge around and it's certainly not worth not forgiving yourself. If you can't

forgive yourself for your past sins, then Satan will use them to hang you up for the rest of your life.

Is that what you want?

No, we want to live in victory.
