All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Teardown.

My name is Jeff Luck, I'm a of the athletic. And normally I am joined by

John Bianchi, my coworker. He will be on this podcast, but later,

Big Day of Motorsports, Indianapolis 500 and the Coal 600. So we are

dividing this podcast into two because we are at different locations, different sites, different times.

So I'm very, very pleased to be joined by my former colleague and longtime friend, Nate Ryan, of NBC.

Nate, how are you doing?

I'm doing great, Jeff, even more as well, because I'm here in Indianapolis Motor Speedway, one of our

favorite places in the world, and one of my favorite people doing this podcast, which is one of

my favorite things. And I just heard you do the big, all right, like it immediately triggers

that, you know, I think of your EDM intro, and I think, man, it's sad. No snake pit this year,

but at least we were a little bit closer to normal. We didn't have Diplo or whoever you love out there playing for all the kids, the 30,000

kids out there in a snake pit, but maybe we'll have that in 2022.

We did have 135,000 fans and a great race.

And you know what?

That's the thing.

Like this race did not need anything else.

Like, this race only had two cautions, right? It didn't have, like, a lot of, you know, there wasn't, there was no, nothing sort of, I guess, like, I don't want to already go with, like, the gimmicky type word.

But there was nothing, this was just a pure auto race to me.

Like, this was just as straight up as it gets.
