I have a social media friend that's now an in-person friend that has such a beautiful,

compelling story about adoption.

And Kelly Johns is in studio with us.

Thanks for having me.

And I was so moved by your story because I don't have any close friends or family that have

really gone through the adoption process, right?

Is this also the time we surprise Abby and tell her she was adopted?

No.

I can't wait to do it.

That is not.

Wouldn't be the most embarrassing thing happened to me on air today.

And it got me thinking because there's so many beautiful stories out there to be told. And I think

there's a lot to learn from those stories. Because if you're like me and you don't have anybody

super close in your life that has really delved and gone through the adoption process, then it's good to

hear these stories so you have a better understanding because I've said for the longest time on

air that with exposure comes learning, with learning comes understanding, with understanding,

comes empathy, and it just makes us a more well-rounded individual in person. So Kelly has gone through

this journey of adoption and it's a roller coaster ride. Oh yeah. And I just really wanted you to come in
