because I'm sort of a, I would say,

one of the things I discovered late in life

was that I have a sort of version of ADD.

You know, I don't, I'm, obviously I couldn't do the sort of work that I did in terms of, you know, long calculations where you have to stay up to two or three in the morning and you're trying to make sure you got it right. And it's sometimes those calculations to get them correct take several months of really hard work and you

may you go on lots of blind allies and make lots of mistakes and eventually you get it all right

and that does require great discipline i mean obviously to stay focused and so on on the other hand

i have this other part of my life where I'm rather

undisciplined. And that's I, I use the word ADD. I mean, that's not technically, but, but, you know,

I, I, I don't stay focused on things when I read them and so on. And even when I'm working in a

disciplined way, I often take breaks and so on and do something mindless.

And I find that that surprisingly helps me.

I did when I wrote my book. I don't know if we discussed this last time or when we earlier, but when I agreed to write this book, it was supposed to be delivered in something like two and a half, three years. It was quite a good grace period, so to speak. And I tried to

write it by fitting it in to the sort of crevices in my daily work. And that turned out to be a disaster.
