24 hours ago, I thought I was going to be walking and recording this episode in a winter

wonderland.

Heavy snow falling, covering the ground, laying on the trees, the branches,

that quiet that you get as the snow is falling. Looking ahead to somewhere between

three and six inches of snow but not so much in fact not

only is it not snowing I'm looking at blue sky seriously and the forecast I checked

just before I left, still calling for snow, although it has now removed

how much snow we're going to get. So no more three to six inches, now it's just snow. and it doesn't look like it's going to

start if it starts it doesn't look like it's going to start for many hours I'm

laughing but I'm a little bit crying inside because I miss the snowfall.

And I understand right now, if you're living in the frozen tundra,

you might be thinking, be careful what you wish for, Dave.

I get that because we have lived in the frozen tundra. I have endured

36 inch snowfalls and a day like today, a morning like this morning, where I woke up expecting a winter wonderland,

and there was nothing, those mornings actually used to excite me.

Because when you do morning radio, you have a different relationship with the snow.
