She reached out to us to share some insight about her job. It's a job that a lot of us know

exists, but probably choose to not consider the details of. And as always, we've got our guests

on the line and we're looking forward to learning more about the job. So firstly, thanks for being on today.

Hey guys, thanks for having me. Yeah, so to start, can you give us your definition of what a

child protection worker does for a living? So there's a few different roles, but my specific role is

to investigate families that are being looked at for abusing children and there's many, many

definitions of abuse. But I'm the frontline worker and the first person that people see after

we get a call from the police or the school or anyone who has worries about a child in danger.

Interesting. So I guess, you know, one of the things that popped in my head when we were going

to do this episode was of all the times that like you hear of kids threatening their parents

been like, I'm going to call CPS or do something like that. Like I don't know, I guess it's just like a personal

question for me. Like does this happen? Does that happen as often as you hear? Because I feel like the
