Fresh off of a win at NXR in a time of 14:34 for the 5k, Juan comes on the podcast to share his story and ambitions for the rest of the season.

Juan is undoubtedly the greatest high school runner in the history of Nebraska.

Juan is a 3xState XC Champion, the 3200 & 1600m State Champion, and the Record Holder. He placed 3rd at NXR Heartland, and won this year. Last year at the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championships, Juan placed 10th in the country.

He's run 1:53 in the 800m, 4:08 in the 1600m, 8:47 in the 3200m, and 14:33 in the 5k.

Juan is crystal clear about his goals and wants to win a title at Balboa Park this year. Juan represents the Midwest region and will look to add to their long legacy of winners.

You can catch Juan race the FL Midwest Regional on November 30 and then two weeks later on December 14 for a chance at history at the FL Cross Country National Championships.

0:11.1	Over the years growing up, the Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships were always on my calendar to watch.
0:16.9	And the road to the national meets starts with the four regional meets of the West, Midwest, northeast, and south regions. The experience that comes with trying to qualify for the most
0:24.6	prestigious national championship in high school cross country is like none other. Whether you're
0:29.9	trying to compete to make the national meet or not, the foot locker regional meets have many
0:33.4	divisions, including the freshman sophomore division and open division so that you can race
0:37.8	with other high schoolers of your abilities to close out the season come late November.
0:42.4	Come and race with Hoka at your regional meet.
0:44.8	You will not regret it.
0:45.9	One of my biggest regrets in high school was actually not running my regional meet, which
0:49.9	was the Midwest region.
0:51.6	Foot Locker has so much history and aura behind it.
0:55.5	It is the 45th year this year.
0:57.9	And yeah, I just really regret not racing other kids
1:01.2	from my state of Ohio as well as the other states
1:04.5	around the Midwest.
1:05.4	And as I said, there are four regions.

1:08.7	there's a region close by to you that you can run in if you're in high school and close out your high school cross country season in the most memorable way or give yourself the chance to qualify for that national meet in San Diego on December 14th.
