This is Fran Blue Gal for Crooks and Liars, and I'm very delighted to be talking today with Joan Walsh of Salon.com.

0:07.4

Hello, Joan.

0:08.5

Hi, Fran.

0:09.5

Good to talk to you.

0:11.2

Yeah.

0:11.3

Oh, I'm thrilled.

0:12.9

Al Gore, John Kerry, which people don't really tend to remember. They focus more on

1:20.0

his negative approval ratings among whites, which we can talk about later. But at least for a moment

1:26.0

in 2008, we were able to pull

1:28.4

some of those folks back.

1:30.2

So I'm used to left-wing liberal people wringing their hands over white people.
