Hello you guys welcome back to another episode of Gals on the go podcast I'm Danielle I'm broke and this episode is going to be very different than our normal episodes you guys are I guess every episode

previous to this one this week for us I'm like I'm sure like many of you guys it's been a wake up call it has been a week all over social media following the tragic murdering of George Floyd

we we we and Danielle and I wanted to do our best to speak out about this issue in the best way that we could

so this is a really special episode because we do have our friend Chloe Coruilan on this episode

Chloe is going to talk about her experience as a woman of color we're going to talk about things like microaggressions

you know what white people can do to help how we can be allies answer questions and it is going to be a conversation that we it's long overdue obviously I I mean I know Danielle and I were

embarrassed truly like it should have been done years and years ago and we're really really really thankful that Chloe was willing to come on our show and talk about this we did not want just a

down and just talk Brooke and I we felt that it wasn't right we felt that there's a lot of room to grow something I've definitely learned is I am not a racist but I do need to understand better there

there's so much and the biggest thing that Chloe will end up talking about in the you know in this episode is it's just about having a conversation and about having an

uncomfortable conversation and that's something Brooke and I wanted to do and so we really hope that you guys listen to this episode and really take into account everything that is said it

could really open your eyes because it's important to have an uncomfortable conversations in order to have a positive change at the end of the day that is what we're working towards and that's what Brooke and I want to do just by one little step of doing this and I mean this is only one

episode this is nothing you know insane this is only an hour but we want to do our best and this is where we're starting yeah we're just scratching the surface you guys and we do want this to be a part of the

gals and go brand we we see you guys we obviously see our community and we are not just white girls like we see you know all of our beautiful races and the diversity that our

community has and it's about time that you know we reflect those voices and we are going to we vow to make it our mission to improve moving forward

because obviously we are white and we are privileged and yeah I guess before we get into everything we just want to do like a few

general like housekeeping things before we really hop into it yes so first off before we get into the episode we want you guys to know that there will be advertisements throughout this episode like normal

however we're very proud and excited to share with you guys that all proceeds that we earn from this episode will be donated to the Black

Visions Collective and organization that we really looked into and we really believed what they were standing for

and I just think it's going to be just one little thing that we can do it's not the only thing we're going to do but it's a start
