Well, howdy. All right. Hey, so glad you're here tonight. I cannot tell you how excited

I am and how much I've been looking forward to this moment. I want you to know tonight. If

you didn't see it on social media tonight, we're going to have a conversation about race.

Let me just tell you why we are prioritizing having a conversation about race. We're doing

this because right now we are on a multi-ethnic campus. I don't know if you realize that but

Texas A&M University is 54% white, 22% Hispanic, almost 9% Asian, about 3% black. This is a multi-ethnic

campus and for those of us here who have a personal relationship with Jesus, we are preparing

for a multi-ethnic eternity. Like when we look into the scriptures, what we see is we see people

from every tribe, tongue, people in nation surrounding the throne of God flourishing in the

presence of God to the glory of God. So that's what we're preparing for. And yet Jesus taught

us to pray in the Lord's Prayer. He said to pray, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth

as it is in heaven. And so what that means is when we talk about praying for God's kingdom to come,

what we want is we want earth to look more and more like heaven. And if in heaven all ethnicities,

all people will flourish to the glory of God, then that should be a priority for us now. That we

should want all people, all ethnicities to flourish now to the glory of God. And our tendency,

when we talk about the nations, our tendency is to think about people there. Like when we talk

about the nations, we equate nations to the unreached. But you understand that we are the nations.

Like in Genesis chapter 12, God tells Abraham all the way back at the beginning of the Old Testament,

he says that he is going to do something so significant through Abraham's descendants,

which would be Jesus that all peoples, all nations would be blessed. So we here, even those of us
