So for everybody listening, we're breaking format a little bit today.

Yeah. Emily is in the driver's seat for this episode. Sal has been muzzled.

Yes, I've been finally restrained.

I'm actually in like in a little sidecar right now next to you, like on a motorcycle.

Normally we get a full like thesis argument of a point that Sal is making, usually about the oligarchy and like,

what, do you want a full minute?

Everybody says oligarchy and they roll their eyes.

It's just an accurate description of our social and political system that we're currently under.

Do you want a minute to get it out of your system?

You know what?

I actually already did it this morning.

I scream it into the mirror every morning. To morning yeah, yeah. I already did my affirmations. Okay, yeah.

We are breaking format today. We're going to do a special episode where we talk to some of our

colleagues about the process of making a closer look. There are many integral parts of making a

closer look on a daily basis, but one of the most integral that people often ask us the most about are the graphics.

And so today we're going to explore a little bit about the process of making the graphics that make a closer look what it is.
