Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend that host Steve Robertson here on the hump day edition of the yard. I'm recording this in the wee hours of the morning. Got a lot to do. You know, we've got the big rock show coming up on Friday. So there's a lot going on. Spent Tuesday going around passing out VIP passes. You know, I probably could have just held those at the door

0:20.8

for everybody, but I felt like, you know what, let's put the personal touch on it, so I went

0:25.5

and hand delivered those myself, and just got it all handled. And a chance to thank everybody, too.

0:32.0

And I got a few sponsors, too, that are out of town that will hold at the door for them.

0:36.3

Couldn't quite make all that trip.

0:37.9

But yeah, anyway, and as I told you guys on Monday,

0:41.6

we were close to selling out the show.

0:43.5

We did sell it out on Monday.

0:46.0

And we had a very generous donor step up

0:49.0

and buy the last, I don't know, 50 tickets or so.

0:52.8

And so I'm going to be handing those out at 1 o'clock

0:55.7

today at the drill field to students. So every ticket has been purchased, which means that every

1:01.2

ticket that was purchased, every dime of that purchase, the purchase price of the face value

1:08.0

of the ticket goes directly to the initiative. Some people bought tickets that had to pay the fee of course with the vent bright. But so we have raised

1:16.4

over $20,000 for the Bulldog initiative. It's not a big secret. I mean you can do the math

1:22.1

yourself. You can see how many tickets we had to sell what we were selling them for. And you

1:26.5

could do the math. I mean, you're not you're not idiots but uh but be that as it may we've got a few more things left to do we've got some merch to sell and we're going to ask for some donations to the show so we we plan to exceed 25 000 and we think that is uh it's not an insignificant amount of money of course it's not uh you know it's not fortune about any means, but it is a good start. And I want Charlie Winfield to understand that he has a partner in all of this. It's not all following to him that we can all participate a little bit. And there are a lot of people that have said, you know what, Steve, this is just something affiliated with Mississippi States. I want to support it. And I thanked him for it. But a sellout show, and I want to comment on a couple things, too. There's always some wisecrackers on Twitter. You know, I've learned that. No matter what you do, no matter how positive you are, no matter what you're trying to accomplish in life, you're always going to have people that are detractors. I've had somebody tell me before that if you have enemies,

2:18.0

it means you've stood for something at one point in your life. And I have a few. Be that as

2:23.5

it may, I've said that a couple times now on the show. I apologize. But here's the deal.

2:29.0

We would not have stopped selling tickets on Monday. We sold, I think, 50 or 60 tickets on Sunday. And it's the week

2:36.0

of the show. So we had a late push and then Monday morning got up and there were a lot of people

2:40.3

buying tickets too. Charlie was sending me basically hourly updates. And we got down to around,
