I just remember saying to God, I look back at my Christian life and it seems like it is mess after mess after mess.

I wish this wasn't my story.

And I just felt the beautiful whisper saying when I look at your life, I see mercy after mercy after mercy.

Often we want the quick fix. We want the testimony, which is I was a drug addict, now I'm clean, I was sick, now I'm healed.

You know, we love the dramatic story, but most often, and even for people who have those

dramatic testimonies, there is then that sanctification process.

We need to walk a longer journey with people to really see them come out of poverty, which is a hard slog,

but we're hungry for more welcome everybody

mine who are doing beautiful stuff across the world all sorts of different journeys everyone's story is

different your story is different as you listen and i can do what you can't do and you can do what I can't do. But we get so relentlessly bombarded by negativity in the press.

And what we do is once a week we get together, this fast expanding community is just to meet great people who've got their challenges,

have had their sucker punches, but who are still in there and living out their story.

And it's just so encouraging. I've got no doubt this week going to be encouraged because we've got with us the fantastic Natalie Williams.

Yeah, really looking forward to this. So Natalie, for a bit of context, grew up in a working class

family in Hastings. I was preaching there just a few months ago, one most deprived towns

in the UK. She's worked as a journalist. She's written a number of books. Here I've got

the book Invisible Divides and Tis Mercy All that I've been devouring over the last few days.

Natalie's the chief executive of the charity Jubilee Plus,

which we're going to hear plenty about.
