Each view, I hope, you heard me explain, has its strengths, has its challenges, but each

does use scripture to reach its conclusions. And in that episode, I also unpacked six

attitudes that we should have when we're differing

on eschatology because the obvious question is this.

How can two people filled with the same Holy Spirit, reading the same Bible, looking at the

same passage, come to two completely different conclusions about something so important?

The answer to that comes down to hermeneutics, which is the study or the

interpretation of scripture and how we approach the text. Some people are going to differ on

dates, like the post-millennial view will say that at least partial prophecies have been fulfilled

in 70 AD, and then you'll have your am millennial position, approach a text differently and say,

well, this is symbolic or this is metaphor.

You'll have other positions and say, this is literal.

And then others will see the book of Revelation

under the banner of apocalyptic literature.

And so that would influence the way they choose to interpret it.
