Hello and welcome to Sochiology 101.

Today we're going to be responding to a recent broadcast that just came out from a Calvinistic YouTuber who is making some common fallacious arguments.

I'm sure he means well.

But this is so common I see on Facebook and on Twitter and on YouTube that I think it needs to be drawn out.

In other words, I think we need to learn from the mistakes here that we oftentimes can make,

and both sides can do this.

In other words, I'm not saying this is uniquely a Calvinistic fallacy.

This is a common fallacy that we can commit towards each other if we're not careful.

One is just understanding the other person well enough to represent them well.

I still don't understand why Calvinists won't do the same thing

that I do for them, and that is play them in their own words. The technology is there. It's very

simple to just let people speak for themselves, even if you don't have the ability to play the

video in video like I'm about to do for this Calvinistic friend, then at least read the quote.

I mean, at least get my actual quote and read it and then say, this is what I disagree

with when you said, X, Y, Z, Leighton, this is what I disagree with and why I disagree.

That shows a level of respect and you're representing the person in their own words.

That's really important to do.

And so keep that in mind as we listen to this.

Again, I think he probably means well.

It's just not doing a very good job of representing what I believe.

And then we'll also look at some of the fallacious nature of this particular argumentation.

And accusation of misrepresentations common as we'll see that as well.
