Oh, okay. I am Wendy Trevino.

I'm a grant writer, but I'm also, I write poetry and I talk on the internet a lot.

I always wonder what I should say.

I guess people mostly know me through my writing of poetry and I've written this chat book but it was

honestly to me it was my first book called Brazilian is not a race and

even though it was the same length as the chat book before it but to me it was my

first book anyways and then cruel fiction came out within the last year,

September of 2018.

So how do you want to be identified though? Because you are a poet, but you're also a grant writer and you're also an

activist I don't know yeah yeah yeah what I want okay what do I want to be noticed I would want to be identified as somebody who I guess a you know activist, anarchist, communist, who writes poetry, you know.

You know like when I first read that so like I watched

Selina when I was a kid and I had all these like weird identity issues like I knew it was Indian like I grew up knowing that I was indigenous

But we have the last name Estes and yeah, it's like but people would always say like, oh, you know, like as to as they would, you know,

Hispanicize or whatever, you know, make that connotation.

And so when I saw Salina, I was like, oh, wow, there's like, this brown woman. Am I Mexican?

Yeah.
