Psalm chapter 67 verses 1 and 2.

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your

saving power among all nations. These two verses have had a monumental influence in my life in such a way that these two

verses are what I pray over my kids every night and what I pray over my life and

life and other's lives all the time.

And the reason these verses have had such an imprint

on my life is because I remember the first time someone

explained them to me the wonder of verse one that God would be gracious to us and bless us and listen to the imagery make his

face to shine upon us and what a thought the face of God shining upon you and me with favor, with blessing.

Yes, that's totally dependent on God's grace.

That's not what I deserve, that's not what we

deserve. What a picture of God's love for us and a prayer for God's mercy in our

lives. You just think about all the different things in your life or your family or your work to start the day by praying for God's face to shine upon you and to know that God desires to do that as our father the lighting in his children.

So yes, may God be gracious to us, bless us, make his face to shine upon us in every facet of our life.

But then, verse one doesn't end with the period.

It ends with a comma, and in this selah, which would just be a pause,

in this Psalm to let that soak in. And then verse 2 says,

so there's a purpose to God's blessing and grace and mercy in our lives so that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among

all nations. That, so that is life-changing. To realize that God's grace and blessing and

favor and love in your life is personal and true and genuine and awesome and

supernatural and purposeful that God loves us in a way that leads to his way being known on the earth
